The left-arm pacer last featured in IPL way back in 2015. As many as 47 Australians have registered for the IPL 2022 Auction which will be held in Bengaluru on Saturday and Sunday.

- He played two seasons for RCB and has picked up 34 wickets in 27 IPL games
- He missed the 2016 edition of IPL due to a hip injury
- Starc entered the auctions in 2018 and was picked by KKR for a whopping 9.40 crores
- Strac could not play any games due to yet another injury
- Starc did not enter the IPL auctions in 2019, 2020, and 2021

“I was a click of the button away from entering the auction but personally didn’t want to spend 22 more weeks in a bubble,” Starc told cricket.com.au ahead of the mega auction.
The 32-year-old further opined that he wishes to go back to IPL someday, but his priority remains playing for Australia in all formats of the game.
“There will be a time where I’d love to go back to the IPL but in terms of wanting to play as much as I can for Australia, that’s a decision I’ve done for a while,” Mitchell Starc added.
