IPL 2022 Auction- Kyle Jamieson pulls out of Mega Auction:  Courtesy of a fiery start to his international career, Kyle Jamieson sparked a bidding war in the IPL 2021 auction, with multiple teams showing interest in him. It was the Royal Challengers Bangalore who ultimately emerged victoriously in that bidding war, signing the player for a whopping INR 15 crore deal and making him the most expensive buy of the auction.

However, things did not go according to what RCB and Jamieson would have planned. The 27-year-old had his occasional moments of glory, but inconsistency prevented him from establishing himself as a key figure in the RCB set-up and eventually found himself demoted to the bench, with Virat Kohli’s team trusting Indian pacers in the likes of Harshal Patel and Mohammed Siraj to get the job done.

IPL 2022 Auction- Kyle Jamieson pulls out of Mega Auction:  Overall, Jamieson played a total of 9 matches for the Bold Army, scalping as many wickets. His economy rate was not up to the mark as well, as he conceded 9.60 runs per over.

Bio-bubble fatigue could be the cause of omission

Though the lad from Auckland has not revealed the reason behind his decision, he previously hinted that he could pull out of the auction owing to bio-bubble fatigue.

IPL 2022 Auction- Kyle Jamieson pulls out of Mega Auction:  “What I have seen in the last two years, nobody could have foreseen and you don’t know if it would happen again. So all I would like to do is concentrate on my next series and whatever comes on from that role,” the pacer said.

Further elaborating on his aspirations of winning major ICC tournaments for New Zealand, Jamieson added “I have to grow my game, try and take a step back and improve my skills, and win those (ICC) tournaments in days to come.”
