IPL 2022: Akash Deep reveals he was a boyhood fan of RCB because of Virat Kohli
Akash Deep joined the RCB team as an intern and learned a lot in his initial few months. Later, he was the net bowler in IPL 2020 and 2021. The right-arm pacer said he carried a lot of confidence due to this experience. The 25-year-old also revealed he always wanted to turn out for RCB because he was a fan of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.

IPL 2022: Akash Deep off to a dream start in IPL 2022 season with RCB
- After getting very limited opportunities in IPL 2021, Akash Deep finally got a longer rope in the 2022 season.
- So far he has played all the four matches for RCB and has picked up five wickets. His best performance came against KKR
- The right-arm pacer picked up three wickets and restricted KKR to just 128
- He has bowled well in the middle overs and conceded runs per than 8 runs per over in the majority of the games
- He has also bowled at good speeds of around 140 kmph and used his variation smartly
