INDW vs AUSW 3rd ODI: Clinical Australia complete whitewash over Harmanpreet Kaur and Co.

Australia Women posted the highest ODI total scored against India Women as they also completed an easy win.

INDW vs AUSW 3rd ODI: Australia Women were too good for Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. as they completed a 3-0 ODI series win on Tuesday (January 2) in Mumbai. Chasing a record total of 339 runs, India Women could not even get close to the target as they lost the match by 190 runs.

After deciding to bat first in INDW vs AUSW 3rd ODI, Australia Women got off to a solid start as Litchfield and Healy played with authority from the word go and laid a solid foundation for the visitors. The duo notched up their respective half-centuries and made the hosts toil hard to break the opening partnership as the duo added 189 runs for the first wicket, with skipper Healy departing for 82 runs.

Ellyse Perry then joined Litchfield at number three but she departed for 16 runs. Following the wicket of Perry, Australia Women lost the next couple of wickets in a jiffy as Shreyanka Patil trapped Beth Mooney (3 off 10) and Tahlia McGrath (0 off 1) in consecutive deliveries.

On the other hand, the 20-year-old, Litchfield held her wicket and notched up her second ODI century. Litchfield’s splendid knock was halted by Deepti Sharma for 119 runs, marking the 100th wicket for Deepti in WODIs. Ashleigh Gardner and Annabel Sutherland contributed 30 and 23 runs, respectively, and Alana King’s unbeaten cameo of 14-ball 26 runs helped Australia Women post a mammoth 338/7 in 50 overs.

In reply, Smriti Mandhana (29 runs), Jemimah Rodrigues (25 runs), Deepti Sharma (25 runs) and Richa Ghosh (19 runs) were some notable performers from the Indian side. For Australia Women, Georgia Wareham scalped three wickets. On the other hand, Megan Schutt, Alana King, Annabel Sutherland got two wickets each for their side.
