India’s long wait for a Test victory in Australia continues. Harmanpreet Kaur’s side were handed a heavy defeat in the one-off pink-ball Test at the WACA Ground in Perth, where Australia cruised to a 10-wicket win to seal the multi-format series 12–4.
Coming into the Test after winning the T20I series, India hoped to carry that momentum into the longer format. But the hosts dominated almost every session of the match and wrapped up the contest comfortably on the third morning. The result also made the occasion even more special for Australian captain Alyssa Healy, who signed off her international career with a convincing victory.

Australia dominate after India’s modest first innings
After winning the toss, Australia opted to bowl first and their decision paid off. India struggled to build partnerships and were eventually bowled out for 198 in the first innings. Jemimah Rodrigues provided the only real resistance with a fighting half-century, scoring 52 runs.
Annabel Sutherland was the standout performer with the ball for Australia, picking up four wickets and keeping the Indian batting under constant pressure.
Australia responded strongly with the bat. Sutherland continued her impressive performance by scoring a superb 129, while Ellyse Perry chipped in with a valuable 76. Their efforts helped Australia post a commanding total of 323 and take a first-innings lead of 125 runs. India’s best moment with the ball came from Sayali Satghare, who picked up four wickets and tried to keep the hosts in check.
Rawal’s effort not enough as Australia seal easy win
India needed a big response in the second innings but the batting once again faltered under pressure. Debutant Pratika Rawal fought hard with a determined 63 and briefly delayed the inevitable, but the rest of the batting order could not offer enough support.
Lucy Hamilton led the Australian bowling attack in the second innings with three wickets as India were dismissed for 149. That left Australia needing just 25 runs to win. Phoebe Litchfield and Georgia Voll made light work of the target, chasing it down in only 4.3 overs without losing a wicket.
