The Indian board is in process of finalizing two new IPL teams this month, preparations are on to release the new media rights tender for IPL & above all the BCCI is the host to T20 World Cup that starts on October 17th. Now another task is getting added in the BCCI’s work-plate i.e to finalize the new coach for the Indian team. According to the information coming in from the sources, BCCI is set to release the advertisement for the post of new coach & his support staff later this week.

Indian Team New Coach: BCCI to start hiring process for Ravi Shastri’s successor before end of this week

Team India New Coach – Contenders for Ravi Shastri’s Post? Current coach Ravi Shastri & most of his support staff members have already declared & made it clear to the BCCI that they will not reapply. Check the list of names doing the rounds and their chances –

Anil Kumble: Some of the members of BCCI were in touch with Anil Kumble for reapplying for the post. Kumble has already seen one unceremonious exit after he had a fallout with captain Virat Kohli in 2017. Moreover his record as Punjab Kings coach doesn’t exude any confidence. First of all it is unlikely that Kumble himself would be interested in the role & secondly most of the senior BCCI officials reportedly are not interested in his services.
“Well, neither Kumble wants to return, nor the BCCI officials, other than president Sourav Ganguly, are too interested in him. The Board is looking for a foreign coach now. Kumble knows that he will have to face the same old team members (Virat Kohli and others in the team), nothing new, then why would he return? And moreover Dada (Ganguly) has recommended his name but other officials expressed their disagreement on it,” a highly-placed source in the board told IANS few weeks back.

VVS Laxman: Laxman’s name was also doing the rounds again it will be hard for him to get the vote of confidence from the BCCI selection committee.

Rahul Dravid: Everyone is inclined to have Dravid on board as India’s new coach, but the man himself is not ready to commit. In the days to come all that may change.

Team India New Coach – Tom Moody desires to replace Ravi Shastri- As India is eyeing a foreign coach for Virat Kohli & Co, Australia’s Tom Moody has desired to replace Ravi Shastri as India head coach. As per a report by Fox Sports, Moody wants to takeover after Shastri’s term will come to an end after T20 World Cup.
