The Indian Cricket Team will undergo a week of training camp at the National Cricket Academy in preparation for the Asia Cup. The players who will take part in the Asia Cup will undergo fitness drills and campaigns to prepare themselves to the fullest for the upcoming tournament. After the West Indies tour, a second-string team will travel to Ireland.
The main team contingent will stay back in India and prepare for both the World Cup and the Asia Cup. These players who will be a part of the World Cup and the Asia Cup will not play a three-match series in Ireland.

These players will get an extended break ahead of the two major tournaments. The BCCI and the team management decided this is a perfect way to optimize workload management thereby reducing the risk of injury to the main players.
After winning the 2-match Test series against West Indies, the Men in Blue will now take on their Caribbean opponents for a 3-match ODI series and then wrap the tour with a 5-match T20 series. After the series gets over, the essential B team will travel to Ireland to play a 3-match T20 series.

In the meantime, the main team will return to India and concentrate on the two upcoming big tournaments. Ahead of the Asia Cup, the Indian players will spend a week at the NCA to prepare for the tournament before traveling to Sri Lanka. India faces Pakistan in their first game of the tournament.
On the other hand, the BCCI has planned a meeting in Delhi with the 10 participating nations on 27th July to discuss about the unfolding tournament set to take place in India from 5th October. The previous meeting between the BCCI and the other nations took place a month ago in Mumbai on 26th July.
