Runs, runs, and just runs flowed from Abhishek Sharma’s bat as he, after smashing a 17-ball fifty, took on England’s bowlers in the fifth T20I in Mumbai. Having shown glimpses of his brilliance in the last few games, he fully exploded in the fifth match, showcasing his class with the bat. First, he gathered crucial runs in the powerplay and then capitalised on the momentum later.

With his century against England, Sharma became the sixth Indian batter to score multiple T20I hundreds. India has consistently produced brilliant T20I batters, from Rohit Sharma to, more recently, Sanju Samson, who has been a run machine in the shorter format. Now, emerging superstar Abhishek Sharma is also grabbing attention.

The list features some of the biggest names in Indian T20I cricket, including former captain Rohit Sharma, who has five centuries to his name. He registered his maiden T20I hundred in 2015, scoring 106 off 66 balls against South Africa in Dharamsala. He continued his impressive run with a blazing 43-ball 118 against Sri Lanka in Indore, followed by a 56-ball 100* against England in Bristol and an unbeaten 111 off 61 balls against the West Indies in Lucknow, showcasing his class.

KL Rahul is also in the elite list with multiple centuries, while current India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has played some unforgettable innings. One of his most memorable knocks was a stunning 117 off just 55 balls against England in July 2022, which was his maiden T20I ton.
