Ahead of the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, the Indian women’s cricket team will take on England Women in a three-match T20I series. The series, which serves as a warm-up to the marquee tournament, will see matches played across three different venues in Chelmsford, Bristol and Taunton on May 28, May 30 and June 2, respectively.
The opening T20I was won by the Women in Blue. Harmanpreet Kaur missed the game, but Jemimah Rodrigues and Yastika Bhatia made sure India didn’t miss her. Nandani Sharma had a dream debut as well, as the visitors took an early lead.
While the hosts come into the series without their regular skipper, Nat Sciver-Brunt, who is racing against time to get fit for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, India Women are coming with a fully fit squad at their disposal, including Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Jemima Rodrigues and others.

Speaking of the last T20I series between the two class teams, which was played in June-July 2025, India Women returned victorious by a 3-2 margin. The Women in Blue started the series on a high, registering a 97-run win in Nottingham and doubled the joy with the win in the second T20I in Bristol. The English side, however, bounced back in the third T20I, registering a 5-run win at The Oval; Harmanpreet Kaur & Co clinched the series with a comfortable 6-wicket win in Manchester.
