Virat Kohli has led India in all formats for almost five years now and has achieved many milestones as a skipper but an ICC trophy has always eluded him. Kohli has led India in three ICC competitions in the 2017 Champions Trophy, 2019 World Cup, and the ICC Test Championships 2019-21 but never managed to become champions on any of the three occasions.
Talking about going into the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, Kohli said, “yes winning an ICC tournament will definitely be a wonderful moment for all of us, for him as coach (Ravi Shastri) and me as captain. It’ll be an amazing achievement and something that we’re absolutely motivated to do so and we’ll give everything that we have.”
Under Virat Kohli’s leadership and Ravi Shastri as head coach, India has achieved numerous successes, especially in the longer format including the iconic 151 runs at Lord’s in the 2nd Test against England.

The Men in Blue will begin its T20 World Cup campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai this Sunday. India is placed in Super 12 Group 2 alongside Pakistan, Scotland, New Zealand, and Afghanistan.
