India is set to take on New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025 final on March 9 at the Dubai International Stadium. However, India’s track record against New Zealand in ICC tournaments has not been particularly strong.
The final of the 2000 Champions Trophy, which was then known as the ICC KnockOut Trophy, took place on October 15 at the Gymkhana Club Ground in Nairobi, Kenya, and pitted India against New Zealand. With a victory margin of four wickets, New Zealand won their first major ICC championship.
India and New Zealand will play at the Dubai International Stadium on March 9. New Zealand has only lost to Team India, who are still undefeated in the competition. India hasn’t had the best record in the ICC finals, though. The two teams had already faced off in the 2021 ICC World Test Championship final, where New Zealand defeated India to win their first ICC championship. In the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup semi-finals, the Kiwis also put an end to India’s campaign.
