After the five-match T20 series against West Indies, Jasprit Bumrah-led team India will play three T20Is against Ireland starting from August 18. The squad comprises of B team since many of the first-choice players have been rested or recovering from injuries. Apart from Bumrah, the squad sees Ruturaj Gaikwad (vice-captain), Tilak Varma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, and Prasidh Krishna. The Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Prasidh will be making a comeback after 11 months.
This will be crucial series for Bumrah and Prasidh as they will have to prove full fitness ahead of Asia Cup 2023, which is due to start on August 30. This will be the second time in a row that India will be touring Ireland to play T20 series. In 2022 the Hardik Pandya-led side won the two-match T20 series 2-0.

Interestingly, Rahul Dravid will not coach Bumrah-led India during Ireland series as he has given rest ahead of Asia Cup. Coaches Sitanshu Kotak and Sairaj Bahutule will be in-charge for three T20Is against Ireland.
