India vs India A to be closed-door intra-squad match, BCCI bars access to media, broadcasters

The India vs India A practice match in Beckenham will not be live streamed on any platform and will be a closed-door affair

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has barred vision access for media and broadcasters in the India vs India A practice match. The one-off warm-up game before the England series will commence on June 12 at the Kent County Cricket Club ground in Beckenham. The match will not be live streamed unlike the other two India A unofficial Tests against England Lions which fans got to watch on JioHotstar.

India vs India A to be a closed door affair

As per Hindustan Times, the BCCI in a statement claimed that no media or broadcasters will be allowed access to the practice game. Additionally, the board informed that on the final day of play, a member of the support staff or a player will be made available for the media.

June13-16: Closed Intra squad game. No vision access to Media/Broadcast. On the final day of the squad game, a player/member of support staff will be made available to the media,” BCCI said in a statement.

It remains to be seen what will India’s playing XI will look like for the practice game. 8 players – Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Karun Nair, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Shardul Thakur, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Akash Deep – were a part of the India A squad and are also a part of the main squad. Whether they will play for India or India A remains to be seen.
