India vs Australia – Mohali, 2016
A great matchup between two of the front-runners to win the World Cup in 2016 was poised to take place. Australia batted first and received steady support from their batters throughout the 20 overs allotted to them, enabling the visitors to score 160.
India did not get off to a particularly good start and they frequently lost wickets, which prevented them from gaining any momentum. India were in a spot at 49/3 inside 8 overs.
Virat Kohli, though, was in the zone and played the perfect innings after he took charge of the chase. He started off with singles and doubles, but after he found his rhythm, he opened up his shoulders and guided India to a stunning victory by 6 wickets with 5 balls left.
Virat Kohli that day remained unbeaten on 82 off 51 balls versus Australia in Mohali and took India to the semi-finals of the 2016 T20 World Cup.
Australia vs India – Melbourne, 2008
India’s lowest-ever T20 total of 74 led to a nine-wicket loss to Australia in the first T20I between the two nations that was played on Australian soil.
For the Men in Blue, it was a dismal day. Additionally, it was Australia’s first victory over India in the game’s shortest format. The Australians completed the meager 75-run chase in 11.2 overs, with 52 balls remaining and nine wickets in hand.
India vs Australia – Rajkot, 2013
This was a game with big scores, a skillful chase, and a victory for the Indians.
At Rajkot, Australia scored 202 runs while batting first on a flat pitch. India’s chase never got underway, and by the 12th over, they were dragging along at 100 for 4.
And when India eventually won the match, Yuvraj Singh was there unbeaten on 77 runs. The southpaw was making a comeback after beating cancer, but he had no trouble taking matters into his own hands as he hammered the Australian attack all over the ground.

India were close to sweeping Australia in their own conditions after winning the previous two games. But Shane Watson was determined to avoid a rare Indian whitewash over Australia. Watson put up arguably his finest career performance as the right-hander sliced and smashed his way to an impressive century.
Australia scored 197, and Watson finished unbeaten on 124. India got the game going quickly, and Rohit Sharma appeared ready to put the hosts under pressure. India was on track thanks to a second-wicket stand of 78 runs between Virat Kohli and them. The pursuit was, however, somewhat hampered by the quick successive wickets of Kohli and Rohit. But again, the legendary lefty, Yuvraj Singh took matter into his own hands. He took off in the final over as India scored 17 runs to win the thriller.
