India vs SA Test Series: Virat Kohli’s ‘OVER-LOADED Cricket KIT-BAG’ becomes talk of the town, check what all he carries in it?

Fans were left guessing about the equipments inside the ‘overloaded’ bag which was carried with ease by the right-hand batsman.

Last year, during the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the UAE, the superstar batsman had given a sneak peek into his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) kit bag.

The former RCB captain had revealed that he carries around 10 bats and 10 to 11 pairs of gloves during a long series or tour. He had specifically mentioned about his ‘special’ thigh guard in the video posted by RCB’s Twitter handle.

“There’s an extra RCB cap, a thigh guard that I love using, this one is a one that I have used for a long time now and I love how solid and compact it is. And it has got my test number on it, not the ODI number, not the T20I number, but the Test number. It’s quite special to me. I have got my MRF pads, red for RCB, really nice pairs, I love getting news pairs probably for every series and tournament that I play, especially for IPL I get all new gear as it happens once a year,” Kohli had told.

“I have about 10 or 11 pairs of gloves, purely because of playing in the UAE, it’s hot and humid. A couple of pair of spikes. In the side pocket, I have got my grip cone and my bat stickers – because I get my bats customised and I like to put stickers myself, at home, that’s something which gives me more assurance when my bats are ready.

“I have got a little zip at the back – which holds three bats, but I am using only two as if now, I have got another kit bag which has eight more – because it’s a long tournament we are here for three months so I want to bring as many as I can. I am not gonna touch match bats till the time matches start so these two bats have to go through,” he had added.

Virat Kohli’s ‘SPECIAL CLASS’ with Rahul Dravid

Virat Kohli, who is waiting for his 71st international hundred for more than two years now, spent a lot of time with Rahul Dravid to address the chinks in his armour on Saturday. In the video posted by the BCCI, the captain-coach duo walked out of the team bus together before the former started his batting practice under the watch of the ex-NCA head.

Virat Kohli was the highest run-scorer during India’s last Test of South Africa in 2018. The captain would be aiming to repeat the feat under the watchful eyes of Rahul Dravid, who is on his first overseas Test assignment as the head coach of senior India men’s cricket team.

India arrived in South Africa on Thursday and spent a day in mandatory quarantine. The Asian giants are eyeing their first-ever Test series win in the African nation. The first mach of the 3-Test series will kick off from December 26.
