India Cricket Schedule: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the dates for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament, which will take place in the West Indies and the USA, will run from June 4–30. However, unlike the last two T20 World Cups, the multi-nation event will be held in June instead of October next year. With the announcement of dates, let us have a look at Team India’s schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024, which is just 10 months away from us.
India Cricket Schedule: Road to the ICC T20 World Cup 2024
Team India will play a total of 19 T20I matches in preparation for the World Cup next year. The Men in Blue will play five series over five months (three away and two home). However, the biggest positive for Team India will be the IPL 2024 season (March–May). The IPL, which runs for about two months, will end just a week before the start of the multi-nation tournament. The blockbuster domestic T20 league will help the Indian players get into the T20 mindset.

For those who are unaware, a total of 20 teams will take part in next year’s World Cup. Out of these 20, 15 teams have already qualified for the event.
Direct Entry: Australia, England, India, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, the West Indies, and the USA
Regional Qualifiers: Ireland and Scotland (European Region Qualifier). Papua New Guinea (East Asia-Pacific Qualifier). Qualifiers from the Americas (one spot), Africa (two spots), and Asia (two spots) will be decided in a few months.
