Ishan Kishan started the year on a splendid note. Kishan played well against West Indies and equally performed well against Sri Lanka. After a poor season in IPL 2022, he fired up again in the 5-match series against South Africa. Following this started his sudden dip in his performance.

Kishan played decently in Ireland but failed to perform with the bat whenever he got an opportunity against the likes of England and West Indies.
It was expected that Kishan would shine once again with his bat in the 3-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. A stunning opening partnership by Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill in the first match meant Ishan Kishan did not get a chance to bat. In the 2nd ODI, he failed a good chance to prove his worth.
As India eyed a clear victory chasing 161 to seal the series, Ishan Kishan falter. He managed to score just 6 runs with the bat after playing 13 deliveries. With just a single ODI match remaining, Kishan will be eager to prove his worth by playing a fiery knock in the next game.
