“Better cricket player – Sachin or Virat?” asked American journalist Graham Bensinger.
Sachin Tendulkar replied: “How about having both of us in one team?”
Virat Kohli’s decline has put a big question mark on his greatness as compared to Sachin Tendulkar. He is undergoing a century drought of more than 2 years and waiting for his 71st century. The 33-year-old is still 30 centuries behind the legend.
However, Kohli has achieved a number of landmarks across formats. He recently completed 100 ODIs at home and has 10,000+ runs in ODIs. He also has 7500+ runs in Tests and is currently among the top run-scorers in T20Is. He is also the leading run-scorer in IPL.
When it comes to upcoming records, Kohli will play the 100th Tests in Punjab’s Mohali Cricket Ground to join Tendulkar on the elite list.
