Now to make matter worse for the young Indian squad that has traveled to Caribbeans, Jadeja is likely to miss the remaining two ODI games in a bid to recover well.
Jadeja was made the deputy of Shikhar Dhawan in the upcoming 3-match ODI series. Reports further claim that Jadeja is likely to be available for the 5-match T20I series. The last of the two games will be played in Florida. With Jadeja set to miss the action, Yuzvendra Chahal and Shardul Thakur are the remaining senior ODI members of the team.

Jadeja’s absence will be a huge blow to the Indian lower middle-order. Set to take the role of a floater in the squad, Jadeja’s spot is now likely to be taken by Axar Patel. Axar is an abled spinner and has a tendency of hitting the ball out of the park.
