The workload management of the Indian team is set to be back with some key players of the team set to get a much needed break from the play. The proper management of these players is necessary keeping in mind about the upcoming Asia Cup and the ICC World Cup.

With Gill likely to not be available for the T20s, this in turn paves way for Ruturaj Gaikwad to showcase his mark in the game. The CSK opener had a good season in IPL 2023 where ultimately his side won the trophy. But following the conclusion of the IPL, Ruturaj opted his name from the WTC Finals squad as he got married.

Gaikwad was a standby option and with him not being available, youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal got the chance to travel with the squad. But now that the BCCI has turned their attention in perfecting the squad for the Asia Cup and the World Cup, in the grand scheme of things, Workload Management is a must.
