After team India arrived in West Indies ahead of the first ODI, both Chahal and Hetmyer were seen sharing time together as they shared a picture. Both the players were seen posing together as Chahal was in the final phase of preparations ahead of the first ODI.
With the first ODI just couple of days away, Chahal will be gearing-up for the three-match ODI series. The contest between the two sides will have bearings for Indian players as string of players could be eyeing a future permanent berth in the ODI side.

- Both Chahal and Hetmyer had a fruitful campaign in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 as they ended up as runners-up.
- While Chahal was the Purple Cap winner with 27 wickets he was also one of the best purchases in the IPL auctions having been released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
- Hetmyer on the horizon was also on fire as he scored 314 runs in 15 IPL matches and played some memorable knocks in the match.

- He is going to be a vital part of the Indian team during the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.
- He alongside Axar Patel are sighted to be India’s first choice spin options, while Ravichandran Ashwin is another player who has been involved in the plans and will play in the T20I series against the West Indies.
- The first ODI will take place on Friday with eyes firmly on Chahal and how he could exploit the Caribbean conditions.
