The BCCI released a video showing the fervent support that Surya received from the numerous fans who filled the stadium and streets with chants of his name. Fans can be seen chanting “Surya-Surya”. The behind-the-scenes footage follows Surya from the stands to the dressing area and finally to his hotel room.
Suryakumar takes a break after the convincing series victory to respond to Virat Kohli’s Instagram story after the former captain praised his performance online. “Bhau, bohot saara pyaar. See you soon,” Surya wrote on Kohli’s Insta post.

After the game, hundreds of fans lined the streets for hours to catch a glimpse of Surya. The Indian team left the stadium and headed to the team hotel and Surya received a grant reception. At the hotel, India’s Mr 360 cuts the cake, presented to him in lieu of his man of the match display. Surya enters his room and sits down in a chair before exiting and signing off from Rajkot.
Suryakumar’s impressive performance in the Rajkot T20 match has further cemented his place in the Indian cricket team. The batsman has been in excellent form in recent months, and his century against Sri Lanka is just the latest example of his talent.
