As per a Cricbuzz report, the BCCI is likely to revert to the policy of series by series managers. For the Sri Lanka series, Saurashtra Cricket Association’s Jaidev Shah will be the board’s representative but not the manager as the BCCI has decided to do away with the post.

Girish Dongre was appointed by the Committee of Administrators (COA) in 2019 and was with the team till the South Africa series on a temporary extension. From the Sri Lanka series onwards, there will be no manager and only a representative of the BCCI to oversee things.
