It was in the 10th over when Ravindra Jadeja extracted some turns off the Ekana Stadium pitch to stun Chandimal. The Sri Lankan batter failed to read the shortish delivery Ishan Kishan behind the stumps was quick to take the bails off and send Chandimal back.

It was Ravindra Jadeja’s only wicket of the match after return from injury. Jadeja last played in the 1st Test against New Zealand and was sidelined with injury since then.

With the bat, he didn’t have to turn on the beats mode as Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma did all the hard work, powering India to 199/2 in 20 overs. Ishan Kishan smashed a 56-ball 89 while Shreyas Iyer slammed 28-ball 57 and Rohit Sharma scored 32-ball 44.
As for the match, India eased to a 62-run victory. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Venkatesh Iyer scalped two wickets each, restricting Sri Lanka to 137/6 in 20 overs. Charith Asalanka was the only Lankan batter to offer some fight, scoring 53 off 47 balls while Dushmantha Chameera scored 24 off 14 but in vain.
