BCCI took to social media on Tuesday to share glimpses of the full squad training together for the first time in Mohali. Captain Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer and Ravindra Jadeja were notable absentees from the pictures, with the trio having featured in all 3 T20s against Sri Lanka last week.

Coach Rahul Dravid spearheaded the session and was seen in intense discussion with Rishabh Pant, who will be one of the senior players in the middle order following the sacking of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane.
The spotlight naturally was on Virat Kohli, who will be playing his first Test since resigning as captain at the end of the South Africa tour. The Mohali Test will also be Kohli’s 100th Test match, and the 33-year-old put in the hard yards in training to be prepared to put in a big score.
Jasprit Bumrah, who was rested for the final T20, was back in the nets along with Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin also went through the motions, with the latter making a swift recovery from an injury.
