IND vs SA 1st T20: South Africa’s spin twins were in focus as the Proteas toiled hard in an optional training session at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. While some of the IPL 2022 stars were given a rest, the others went through the motions in a bid to acclimatize to the conditions on offer.
Tabraiz Shamsi, the World No. 1 bowler in T20s and Keshav Maharaj bowled in tandem while Aiden Markram also extensively rolled his arm over with conditions expected to spin bowling. The duo focused on hitting the right areas with some ‘spot bowling practice’

Captain Temba Bavuma was amongst the many who spent time at the create on the nets. Marco Jansen, who teammed up Aiden Markram at Sunrisers Hyderabad, was also seen bowling full throttle in the nets.
The South African T20 side last competed in November at the World Cup in Sharjah and with the next World event slated to begin in October, Bavuma is keen to marshal his troops.
Speaking in a press conference, Temba Bavuma said that his side were looking at this tour as a part of their preparation for the T20 World Cup. He said, “The conditions in India don’t accurately simulate conditions in Australia. In saying that, there’s still a lot of benefit from playing. Any type of competitive cricket will be good for us.”
