It was a special day for Virat Kohli who equaled legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most ODI centuries on his 35th birthday.
After opting to bat first, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill made a brisk start to the innings, scoring 61 in just 5 overs. Rohit scored a 24-ball 40 before he fell prey to Kagiso Rabada. Shubman Gill didn’t stay too long as well as he got dismissed by Keshav Maharaj.
However, Virat along with Shreyas Iyer steadied the innings and took the game deep. After going through some tough spells, the duo opened up and scored crucial runs on a tricky pitch. Iyer departed on 77 but Suryakumar Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja’s quick cameo pushed Team India to a mammoth 326.
