Quinton de Kock has been instrumental in that. he scored a brilliant 78 run innings off just 66 balls, hitting 7 fours and 3 over boundaries. Batting first in the 3rd ODI, de Kock has again registered a superb century batting 106 not out after hitting 10 boundaries and 2 sixes.

The Indian team has often been a happy hunting ground for de Kock. Out of his 17 ODI tons, this was his 6th against the Men in Blue. He has played 16 innings against India and his stats are exceptional. 6 hundred and 2 fifties with a highest run of 135. Though most of his runs have come at his home, he has consistently performed against Indian since 2013. In his encounters with India, there are 3 instances where he has an average of over 100 in a series. His lowest average in batting against India in any series has been 57.93. This showcases the talent and the consistent performance that de Kock has been able to pull over the years.

The 29-year-old hard hitter has been in phenomenal form off late and his performances on the field are proof of the same. Though quite a few eyes were raised when de Kock registered himself in the IPL 2022 Auctions with a base price of 2 Cr, his recent form will be a perfect reply to the same. All of the 10 IPL teams would be eager to acquire this South African superstar to bolster their batting firepower.

The IPL 2022 Mega Auction is scheduled to take place in Bangalore on the 12th and 13th of February while the main tournament could tentatively start on 27th March, as said by the BCCI sectary Jay Shah yesterday. The Proteas has won and currently leads the 3-match ODI 2-0 after registering a fine test series 2-1 victory over India.
