IND vs SA: As India collapses on day one, calls to get Sarfaraz Khan in team grow louder

Repeatedly ignored, Sarfaraz Khan hit ton vs the India 'A' in three-day intra-squad practice game recently.

After a rain-delayed start in Centurion for the first India vs South Africa Test, the visitors had a poor showing, as they were reduced to 208/8 in 59 overs, as the batsmen failed collectively. Only KL Rahul showed some resistance and scored 70 not out, as the fast bowlers made hay, with Kagiso Rabada bagging a fifer already. With this poor showing by the batsmen, the calls to get Sarfaraz Khan in the team, have only grown louder.

Social media was abuzz with messages for the talented middle-order batsman, who has a career first-class average of 71 and scored a ton in the recent intra-squad match on the current tour. Here’s what the fans had to say about Sarfaraz Khan:

Initially, left-arm pacer Nandre Burger opened the floodgates as he picked up two crucial wickets right at the start.
