The first look of the SuperSport Park pitch in Centurion is out and it appears the pace bowlers will rule the roost in IND vs SA 1st Test.

After the conclusion of limited-overs series, Team India gets ready for the two-match Test series against the South Africa, starting on December 26 in Centurion.

Like it has been in the past, the Test matches in South Africa will be a big Test for the Indian batters as the pitches are expected to provide ample bounce and swing for the pace bowlers.

And now three days out from the opening delivery of Boxing Day Test, the first look of the SuperSport Park pitch indicates that the trend is likely to continue.

Proteas curators have prepared a green pitch to trouble India’s star-studded batting line-up.

Cricket journalist Vimal Kumar shared the first look of the Centurion pitch on Saturday.

The pictures show a green surface which will provide more pace and bounce to the fast bowlers.

However, it’s crucial to highlight that curators typically trim the grass the day before the game commences. So, the pitch’s appearance on the opening day of the Test might vary slightly.

Team India is likely to go with four pacers and one spinner in the first Test. Veteran Ravichandran Ashwin, who is nearing his 500-Test wickets milestone, is likely to sit out.
