Gavaskar Backs Pant and Karthik – PICKS India as WINNER vs Pakistan
Prior to India’s critical match against Pakistan at the T20 World Cup on Sunday, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar made a significant prediction about the starting lineup that would include Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, and Dinesh Karthik. Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik are two excellent alternatives for wicketkeeping for Team India in the T20 World Cup. On October 23, when the team plays its inaugural match against archrival Pakistan, only one is most likely to enter the field.
However, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has backed Pant and Karthik to play if all-arounder Hardik Pandya can fill the position of the fifth bowler.

“I have been part of the system for the last six seven years, first as a coach and now I am watching from the outside, and I think this is as good a line-up as India has ever had in T20 cricket,” Ravi Shastri declared during an event at the Mumbai Press Club. “With Suryakumar Yadav at No.4, Hardik (Pandya) at No.5, and Rishabh Pant or Dinesh Karthik at No.6 it makes a massive difference as it allows the top order to play the way they are playing.”

Former Pakistani bowler Wasim Akram has revealed his pick for the semi-finalists of the 2022 T20 World Cup. The former captain of Pakistan predicted that India, Pakistan, and Australia would advance to the T20 World Cup semifinals. He continued by naming South Africa a “dark horse” and adding it to the list.
