IND vs PAK on June 9 in New York but no stadium yet at Eisenhower Park

The construction of Eisenhower Park, the venue for the IND vs PAK T20 World Cup match, has not yet commenced in preparation for the tournament.

The date for the blockbuster encounter between India and Pakistan is officially out. The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday announced the full fixtures of the T20 World Cup 2024, set to begin on June 1 in USA & West Indies.

The IND vs PAK clash will take place on June 9 in New York. However, the Eisenhower Park, which will host the most encounter is yet to begin construction for the tournament.

Cricket journalist Peter Della Penna, revealed that the construction at the Eisenhower Park will not begin until February.

With less than 6 months remaining for the prestigious tournament, the current situation raises serious doubts about the USA’s capacity to host such a high-octane encounter.

Another concern is the capacity of the ground. The India vs Pakistan clash always attracts a large audience, and it is unclear whether the venue can accommodate spectators in the hundreds of thousands.
