Tendulkar lauds Indian fast bowlers
After India’s win against Pakistan, Sachin Tendulkar took to his twitter handle and posted a tweet where he was full of praise for pacers. Tendulkar tweeted, “It came down to fitness of the fast bowlers while put under pressure, though both teams’ pacers bowled well upfront. Crucial knock by Hardik to stay till the end & get us over the line & ably supported by @imjadeja & Virat. Congrats on a nail-biting win.”
The Indian fast bowlers were at their fluent best as they ran the show with the ball to bowl out Pakistan for 147. Later the Indian batters guided the team home as they won the match in the final over to to start on the front foot in Asia Cup 2022.
Bhuvneshwar and Hardik impress in Superb Spell
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the star of the show as he snared through the Pakistan batting line-up with four wickets and ended wioth figures of 26/4.
- He was accompanied by Hardik Pandya as he scalped three wickets and would later score the winning runs to take the ‘ Player of the Match’ award.
- Arshdeep was another one that impressed on his first Asia Cup outing after grabbing hold of two wickets.
- Avesh Khan was the other bowler who ended with a wicket as Team India and it’s fast bowlers showed their class on the field.

Team India reign Supreme in Asia Cup opener
India completed their T20 World Cup revenge with a 5-wicket win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup. India struggled but an all-rounder Hardik Pandya show and Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s terrific spell powered India over Pakistan. Hardik bagged 3/25 and remained unbeaten on 33 off 17 to take India home. Ravindra Jadeja also played a steady 35-run knock. Virat Kohli also scored 35 as India chased down 148 runs with 2 balls to spare.
Chasing a target of 148, India did not have a great start. Naseem Shah bowled a magical first spell on debut, removing KL Rahul for a golden duck. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli did their best to steady the ship with a 49-run partnership off 46 balls but Rohit struggled to get going.
