IND vs NZ 3rd Test: Bird poop returns to haunt seats once again, this time in Mumbai’s Wankhede

A fan took to social media platform X to highlight the poor seating facilities in Mumbai's Wankhede stadium for IND vs NZ 3rd Test

Issues related to poor facilities and lack of hygiene at the Wankhede stadium came to the fore on Day 1 of IND vs NZ 3rd Test. A fan took to social media to call out the BCCI and the Mumbai Cricket Association for not maintaining cleanliness in the stadium and shared a picture of a seat that was defaced with bird excreta. A similar incident had occurred during the IND vs BAN series as well.

Fans complain about poor facilities in Mumbai for IND vs NZ 3rd Test

This is not the first complaint to emerge in the ongoing IND vs NZ Test series. Earlier, fans had complained of lack of drinking water facilities in Pune for the 2nd Test. Although the issue was resolved immediately on the next day, fans continue to flag concerns with venues and their facilities. Some section of fans called out BCCI for poor management over entry of fans into the Wankhede stadium ahead of the start of the game.

Poor facilities at stadiums and the lack of cleanliness have been called out on previous occasions as well. In a similar scene in Kanpur during IND vs BAN series, another fan had shared a picture of seats that were not clean. There have been multiple instances of the fans alleging mismanagement in terms of entry or exit into stadiums. One such example is from the recent Test in Chennai when fans claimed that they were not allowed to enter the stadium again after exiting during the day’s proceedings.
