Pandya and Laxman address team talk in first practice session–
Players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Hardik Pandya were then seen warming-up for the first T20I on Saturday. The pool of bowling contingent contained the likes of Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik. Avesh Khan is another player who was involved in the practice session with Yuzvendra Chahal.
The Indian team has a very proud record against Ireland and will try to continue from where they left in 2018. With the likes of Hardik Pandya, and Ishan Kishan at the Indian team’s disposal, Team India will be the hot favourites to win the two-match T20I series.

India ready for the T20I series-
- The Indian team has sent a second-string team for the Ireland tour with star players involved in the England tour.
- The tour will provide an opportunity for the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ishan Kishan to cement their place in the Indian team ahead of the T20 World Cup.
- The likes of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma are not available for the Ireland tour which has given Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad to showcase their talents.
- In the bowling department, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been in good touch as he was awarded the ‘Player of the Series’ in the recently concluded South Africa series.
- This will also be the perfect opportunity for Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar to showcase their leadership qualities as well.

Arshdeep and Umran to be handed debuts?-
- The Ireland tour will be a perfect opportunity for the likes of Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh to cement place in the Indian team.
- While Umran has been a speed machine, Arshdeep Singh has been considered as one of the best death-over bowlers in recent times, but both are yet to make their debuts for the national side.
- Umran Malik’s numbers in the IPL 2022 spoke volumes as he scalped 22 wickets and bowled the second-fastest delivery in the IPL after Lockie Ferguson.
- Arshdeep Singh on the flip side scalped only 10 wickets but his economy of 7.70 in the 14 IPL matches have been the feature of his impressive showing.
It now remains to be seen whether both Arshdeep and Umran are handed their debuts or not.
