Rohit set to surpass Virat for most wins
If India beat HongKong in their second match of the Asia Cup 2022, it will mark Rohit’s 31st win as captain of the Indian side in T20 format. Rohit has won 30 of his 36 matches in the shortest format, losing just six matches since taking charge for the first time in 2017. Rohit’s win percentage is one of the best as he leads with 83.33 compared to others.
It took Virat 50 matches to record 30 wins as T20 captain, with his last stint as captain coming in the T20 World Cup in 2021 in UAE. He famously guided India to a T20 series win in South Africa which remains a big feather in his impressive cap.

Currently, Kane Williamson, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have 30 wins each in the format. While Kohli is no longer the captain of the national team, Rohit and Williamson will have the opportunity to surpass him and add to their tally.

India take on HongKong on Wednesday
While Hong Kong started its journey in Qualifiers to get the better of hosts UAE in the final match. Thie will be their first meeting with India in T20 format and will be looking for a positive result. After a hard-fought victory against Pakistan, India will look to cool things off and complete a routine win to book Super 4 berth. But the focus will be on KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. Rahul looked out of sorts in a golden duck while Kohli did manage to score 35 but it came off 34 balls.
The match will start at 7:30 PM with toss taking place at 7:00 PM at the Dubai International Stadium.
