IND vs ENG Test: Team India hit Rajkot nets for optional practice session

IND vs ENG Test: Break over, India Cricket Team begin optional practice session ahead of Rajkot Test

The short break for the India Cricket Team is over. Now the team has re-joined in Rajkot. Monday is an optional practice day for the team. Ravichandran Ashwin is currently practicing ahead of the IND vs ENG Test match. Ashwin pointed out at the new Press Box which bears a similar resemblance to that of the Lord’s ground.

India is having a behind the door practice session. With the Test slated to start on 15th, India will be raring to go all guns blazing on the Three Lions. India made a sensational comeback in the Vizag Test after loss in the Hyderabad Test.

Not many players are attending the practice session. Head coach Rahul Dravid is overlooking the session. Major highlight will be on the Rajkot pitch. Reports claim that the pitch is expected to be a slow turner. In such a condition, it can be a big benefit for the Indian Team.

For India, the hosts face a major selection conundrum in the middle order. With Shreyas Iyer being dropped from, there is a chance for Sarfaraz Khan to get his Test debut in Rajkot.

India Squad for remainder of IND vs ENG Test: Rohit Sharma (C), Jasprit Bumrah (VC), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel (WK), KS Bharat (WK), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Akash Deep.
