As many as 10+ records/milestones can be achieved in the upcoming ODI series. Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Shreyas Iyer are among India players who can create new records.

Ind vs Eng: Shikhar Dhawan

India opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan needs 192 runs to complete 6,000 runs and become the 10th batsman to achieve the milestone. He has scored 5,808 runs in 139 matches at an average of 45, including 17 centuries and 30 fifties. Dhawan also needs just a century to equal David Warner’s and Mark Waugh’s record.

Ind vs Eng: Rohit Sharma

India vice-captain Rohit Sharma is only a century away from equalling Ricky Ponting on the top 3 list of most century scorers in ODI cricket. The 33-year-old has scored 29 tons in 224 matches. Ponting has 30 hundreds in 375 ODIs.

Kuldeep Yadav can go past Jasprit Bumrah’s wickets tally in the ODIs. While Yadav has 105 wickets in 61 matches, Bumrah has scalped 108 wickets in 67 fixtures.

Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal needs a fifer to equal Javagal Srinath and Harbhajan Singh (3 each) on the list of most five-wicket haul for India in ODIs.

Another England keeper Jonny Bairstow needs 87 runs to eclipse Andrew Flintoff’s record of 3,293 runs. He has scored 3,207 runs in 83 ODIs that includes 10 hundreds. He can also equal Marcus Trescothick to score 12 centuries in the 50-over format.

England spinner Adil Rashid needs 13 wickets to surpass Andrew Flintoff and become the fourth-highest wicket-taker in ODIs. By doing so, he will also surpass Ashish Nehra (157 wickets).

Rashid can also join Chris Woakes in the most number of five-wicket hauls. He has two fifers in 50-overs cricket.

England skipper needs two centuries to equal Joe Root in scoring most ODI hundreds for his team. He has scored 14 hundreds in 242 matches. On the other hand, Root has smashed 16 tons in 140 appearances for England.
