The batter played an aggressive innings coming to bat after Rohit Sharma’s dismissal. His half-century was celebrated by fans on social media, hailing the Mumbai batter’s resilience.

Sarfaraz Khan had a point to prove in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test. Having waited for long to be called up in the Indian team, he had to wait for a good 3 hours before coming in to bat too. He waited in the dugout with pads on as Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja built the Indian innings back up after the initial jolt. When Rohit Sharma departed at 131, Sarfaraz got his chance to make his name.
