IND vs ENG 2nd Test: Rajat Patidar makes debut for India, Mukesh replaces Siraj

Rajat Patidar has an impressive average of over 45 in first-class cricket, and had scored runs against England Lions as well recently.

On Friday, Team India handed out Test debut to wicket-keeper batsman Rajat Patidar, for the second match against England at Vizag. The talented Patidar comes in place of injured KL Rahul, who had impressed in the first Test with his 86. But owing to a hamstring injury, Rahul was out of question for Vizag Test.

Meanwhile, India went in with two more changes, as Mukesh Kumar was included in place Mohammad Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav came in for Ravindra Jadeja, with the latter injured as well. The decision to leave out Siraj was taken, looking at the amount of cricket he had played in the recent times.

On the other hand, despite being included in the team finally, Sarfaraz Khan was overlooked for the second Test.
