IND vs BAN Asian Games: India holds edge over Bangladesh, check Head-to-Head record

IND vs BAN: Team India hold the edge over Bangladesh ahead of the semi-final cricket match in the ongoing Asian Games.

IND vs BAN: Team India will face Bangladesh in the semi-final match of cricket competition in the ongoing Asian Games. While India mauled Nepal in their quarter-final match, the Bangladeshi side had to grind for their win against Malaysia as they got over the line by just 2 runs. The IND vs BAN Asian Games semi-final clash will be played on October 6. On that note, let us take a look at the head-to-head record of T20I matches between the neighbouring countries.

Bangladesh have won only one T20I against India

Speaking about the head-to-head record between IND & BAN, both sides played their first 20-over match in the 2009 World Cup. The Men in Blue won that match pretty convincingly. India also came out trumps against BAN during their last meet in the T20 WC in Australia. The Bangladeshi side has managed to win just one match against India. On the other hand, the Men in Blue have won 11.

However, the records won’t matter much as both sides are fielding a young group of players itching to do well at the mega event. The likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad looked in good touch in their last outing and they will be looking to replicate their performance. On the other hand, Bangladesh will be banking on the likes of Afif Hossain and skipper Saif Hassan to come good in a crunch match against their neighbours.

IND vs BAN Squads:

India: Ruturaj Gaikwad (c), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rahul Tripathi, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmed, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Shivam Dube, Prabhsimran Singh (wk), Akash Deep.
