IND vs BAN Highlights: Bangladesh women claimed their first ever victory over India in ODI cricket on Sunday, July 16. After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, the Indian bowlers never let the Bangladeshi batters settle, with debutant Amanjot Kaur being the pick of the bowlers. The spin trio of Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, and Devika Vaidya assisted Kaur by stopping the run flow and chipping in with wickets as well. Bangladesh could only set India a target of 154 runs from 44 overs, which turned out to be enough for India.
Marufa Akter and Rabeya Khan were too hot to handle for Indian batters and took seven wickets between them. India ended the powerplay 37-3, with captain Harmanpreet Kaur and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana back in the hut.
By the 17th over, India was 5 down, but Deepti Sharma and Amanjot Kaur managed to arrest the collapse. Marufa Akter then came back in the 29th over and sent Amanjot and Sneh Rana back in 2 consecutive balls. Rabeya Khan sent Deepti the very next as India lost 3 wickets in 3 balls. Devika Vaidya showed resistance and eventually lost partners, and India got all out for 113, losing the last 5 wickets for just 24 runs.
