While there is a slim chance that Hardik Pandya or Suryakumar Yadav will be available for the series. The squad is expected to be out after the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final on Nov 6.

If not, the performers from Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will be in the squad. Focus will be on building the bench for T20 World Cup 2024 with VVS Laxman taking charge of the series.

Leading up to the T20 WC, India will only have three bilateral series and in all 11 T20s. And that’s not ideal to prepare for the mega event in June.
