IND vs AUS 3rd T20I: India eye record win against struggling Australia in Guwahati

India are a win away from surpassing Pakistan to become most successful T20I side with mist wins.

No 135 done and now India Cricket Team are eying a record 136th T20I win to become the most successful side in the format. And that’s quite possible for Suryakumar Yadav-led side. Despite possessing some big names, Australia are clearly fatigued and they are struggling. And in the IND vs AUS 3rd T20I in Guwahati on Tuesday, India would want to continue their dominant run at home against Matthew Wade & Co.

India are up 2-0 with two contrasting wins. If India pulled off a thrilling last-ball finish in the 1st T20, the 2nd T20 was almost a walk in the park. A dominant India completed a 44-run thrashing in Thiruvananthapuram, posting a record total against the Aussies.

Despite missing the big guns, Suryakumar Yadav & Co have been defying the odds so far in the series. India Cricket Team have notched up 200+ scores in the previous first two IND vs AUS clashes. The likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ishan Kishan, Rinku Singh and skipper Suryakumar Yadav were in blazing form. The trio will look to continue their merry way in the IND vs AUS 3rd T20I.

Even as the bowling department has looked out of sorts on flat decks, Ravi Bishnoi has been an excellent wicket-taker. Despite the impact of dew, Bishnoi clearly troubled Australia in Thiruvananthapuram, returning with three wickets. And with dew being a factor again in Guwahati, Indian bowlers’ tasks will be cut out.

The IND vs AUS 3rd T20I will be played in Guwahati on November 28 as India Cricket Team eye record of Most T20I wins.

However, focus will be on Tilak Varma. Before Shreyas Iyer returns and potentially replaces him in the Playing XI, the youngster will have one last shot. So far, he has shown glimpses of his skillset. But with the limited time on the crease, he has not been able to fully express himself.

As for Australia, batting has worked decently so far. But it has not been a cohesive performance. Josh Inglis was the star in the first match while Tim David and Marcus Stoinis did try their bit. However, with Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell and Inglis failing, Australia failed to chase down a mammoth 236-run target.

With reports of Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith and Adam Zampa returning home after the IND vs AUS 3rd T20, Australia have to strike back on yet another batting heaven on offer. Ben McDermott, Josh Philippe and Chris Green are set to join in as reinforcements.

IND vs AUS Pitch Report:

The wicket at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium is known for slow nature. However, the last international match at the venue indicates batting-friendly conditions as more than 400 runs were scored in the T20I clash between India and South Africa in October 2022. The skipper winning the toss might want to have a bowl first as dew will be a factor.

IND vs AUS Weather Report:

As per AccuWeather, it is expected to be a clear day on Tuesday. The maximum temperature is expected to be 21 degrees Celsius with a hint of breeze blowing.
