Sanju Samson gets golden opportunity at ‘flat’ Chinnaswamy to stake claim for T20 WC spot

Sanju Samson returns to Playing XI for third and final T20I against Afghanistan at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

A huge roar erupted at M Chinnaswamy Stadium when Rohit Sharma announced Sanju Samson’s name in the Playing XI for IND vs AFG 3rd T20I in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

After warming the bench for first two T20Is, Samson returned in XI for what is Team India’s final T20I match before the T20 World Cup.

An absolute run-fest is on the cards at Bengaluru and Samson would be hoping to make it count to stake a claim in for T20 World Cup 2024 spot.

Apart from Samson, Team India have also included Avesh Khan and Kuldeep Yadav in XI in place of Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh.
