Mohammed Shami is yet to recover from Covid 19 and subsequently will miss the upcoming T20I series against South Africa. Shami contracted Covid right before the start of the series against Australia and is currently recovering from the disease. It is absolutely unclear as to when Shami will be deemed fit.

With the World Cup fast approaching India faces a race against time to prepare their injured players for the mega tournament. Adding to the concern for the Men in Blue is the pace bowling lineup. India’s pace attack comprising of Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel is undergoing a rough path, and therefore the speedy arrival of Shami is highly anticipated by the team.

As per the latest new, Hooda hasn’t traveled to Thiruvananthapuram where the first match of the series will take place. Now with the World Cup knocking on the door, the Men in Blue will have to find quick remedies to treat these two important players as fast as possible so that Hooda and Shami can travel to Australia fit and prepared for the mega tournament.
