Rishabh Pant put on a stunning display of wicketkeeping on Saturday in Chattogram. The Bangladesh openers had made life difficult for India and it was Pant’s heroics that help his team break the stand. Najmul Hossain Shanto edged one straight to Virat Kohli, who fumbled a straightforward catch at first slip. Pant however had the reflexes and presence of mind to complete the take and send the left-hander packing.

Pant did have a blemish, dropping a rather straightforward chance off Umesh Yadav. Bowling with the new ball, Umesh Yadav induced an edge from the Bangladesh veteran. However, the wicketkeeper grassed a rather simple take. Pant nonetheless shrugged off the disappointment to show his shades of MS Dhoni soon after.
With Axar Patel getting the ball to grip and turn, Pant brought out a Lightning fast stumping to send Nurul Hasan packing. The 25-year-old’s quick pickup and release mirrored that of MS Dhoni, much to the delight of Indian fans.
