Menon missed several calls as early as the first day, but the Australians did not review the judgements that would have gone in their favour. Notably, Menon missed two calls on India skipper Rohit Sharma in the very first over of the match. The Indian opener was out for duck twice but the umpire and Australia missed on both occasions.
On day two, Wilson received the majority of the negative feedback from fans on social media.
After an Australian review, the Trinidadian official’s first ruling that Ravindra Jadeja was not out was reversed.
Five wickets in all, including two Nathan Lyon LBWs on day two, required a player’s review.
