The third edition of DP World International League T20 is slated to begin on 11st January of 2025. But the big news is that ILT20 schedule will clash with the Big Bash League and SA20. While the dates of the later are yet to be released, few players will be in a conundrum with the ICC Champions Trophy also starting in February of 2025.
The duration for ILT20 is about a month. The tournament is set to commence from 11th January and conclude on 9th February. Reports in the media claim that the Big Bash League is likely to continue till the end of January while the SA20 is most likely to continue till the first week of February.
ILT20, BBL and SA20 likely to clash dates
This is a major concern for the International players who play in all three leagues of the world. Coupled with the above dates clashing, the ICT is also beginning soon in Pakistan.
Last season a huge number of star players left the BBL to take part in ILT20. And with the SA20 continuing at the same time, it is a massive concern for all three leagues.
After 2 huge seasons, ILT20 is back for it’s third edition in the UAE. “We are delighted to confirm the window for DP World International League T20 Season 3. The window has been finalised after discussions with our stakeholders. We have begun our preparations for Season 3 with an aim of making the league even bigger and better,” said ILT20 CEO David White.
“Season 2 was a massive success in terms of all relevant metrics’ and helped further strengthen the league’s reputation, making it one of the most sought after T20 leagues for players, fans and broadcasters from around the world. Having considered all aspects, the January-February window for Season 3 has turned out to be the most suitable,” White concluded.
