He also scaled a magnificent milestone in the SA20 as he completed 500 wickets in T20 cricket.

The 24-year-old played his last match on February 6 with MI Cape Town in SA20 League. With the team having failed to make the last 4 of SA20, Rashid, one of the most effective T20 bowlers in the world, was available for the other league. He had enough time to fly to UAE and feature in ILT20 with MI Emirates.

Rashid straightaway featured in the playing XI for MI Emirates in their important match against the Capitals in Sharjah. He will be on the lookout to provide vital breakthroughs. While his surprise inclusion has baffled many, skipper of the franchise Pollard opined that the side needs to use resources at the crunch moments of the game citing Rashid’s example.
